Thousands and Thousands of Days and Nights I am Brighting the Kingdom of Morocco Star Around the World
From Mazagan – El Jadida to London, Amsterdam, Munster, Paris, San Francisco-Oakland, Mexico City, Beijing-Shanghai and back around and again
To the rhythm of my breaths, one of my many and among thousands and thousands if not the approach of millions in this world as times and initiatives and words as well as expressions of my thoughts, my emotions and of my concrete actions to rightly make known and properly promote the name of Morocco – Morocco and Made in Morocco – Made in Morocco
Since my time in France or when I was asked where I came from and what I was doing in France, Morocco and as a Student I was, I was answered:
- “Ah! you are going to become a Minister there! where you have a lot of sun, oranges and desert.”
- In the United States, they didn’t ask me what I did but they asked me where I came from!
- Where do you come from?
- From Morocco!
- Oh Yes, where you have lot of Casinos!
- or:
- “Where Grace Kelly is the Princess?”
The first Ok, I thought it was OK, given that we had Casinos in Mazagan, Mohammedia, Agadir, Tangier, Marrakech and those of the Circos during the Moussems and the summer seasons, with this famous joke about the Circo de Haj Calabassa:
“Suerti Moulana Ima Tarbah Magana wa Tamchi Dahr Aryana”

This photo represented a business and trade scope initiative, I led a representation of California and its agricultural and food products as part of a trade mission organized by the State of California, U.S. Department of Agriculture, US. U.S. Department of State, US U.S. Department of Commerce and the United States Embassy in Morocco – US Embassy Morocco with the assistance of East Bay Center for International Trade Development – CITD of which I was one of the Principal Consultants. This center – CITD – is directly linked to the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz)
In fact, the gentleman appearing in this photo is His Excellency Mr. the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Arthur Riley, during my representation of California as part of the Trade-Show _ Casablanca Café , with by my side, my Handsome and Adorable Nephew Sidi Omar Bouafi who along with his sister, Bouafi Nora our Marketing Assistant had both participated in the preparation, the setting up of our California Stand and this for and during the progress of this event which took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Casablanca in 2004.
This commercial event took place as part of the promotion of commercial relations between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Morocco and this in order to encourage discussions and negotiations taking place and taking place representatives of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and Moroccan officials to put in place the terms and conditions of the free trade agreement between the two countries.

This trade show was a facilitator for the upcoming negotiations and the signature of the US – Morocco Free Trade Agreement.
